LINDA HUFFMAN Obituary

HUFFMAN
With heavy hearts, we announce that our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and Gg, Mrs. Linda Louise Ruth Huffman (nee Kine) passed away peacefully on March 16, 2025 at St. Joseph's Hospice surrounded by family.

Born on February 20, 1946 in Fort William, Ontario, Linda grew up in Rosslyn, and met the love of her life, Jim, in 1961. They were married three years later, and established a family a short time later. Throughout the years, they travelled together on many adventures around North America, but Linda's favourite place to be was surrounded by family and enjoying a game. Linda was always ready to start a game, whether it was cards, Yahtzee, or Nertz. The only time she raised her voice was when a card game got heated. She found joy in games right up to the end.

While she considered herself a home crafter, Linda was an exquisite artist, excelling in every medium she tried. Her art is sure to be treasured in our family for generations to come. The most magnificent thing she crafted, though, is a legacy of kindness, unconditional love, and a whole lot of fun.

Linda is survived by her husband of 61 years, Jim Huffman, her sister-in-law Pauline, brother-in-law Glen (Anne), and her children Barry (Kellie) and Greg (Kenna), and daughter-in-law, Josee. She is also survived by her grandchildren Curtis (Brittany), Ashton, Sinead (Kristen), and Bronwyn, great grandchildren Zac, Mikka, Jake, Jonah, and Charlie, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and a large extended family.

She is predeceased by her parents Phillip and Margaret Kine, parents-in-law Alec and Marie Huffman, sisters Wilma Greenwald, Shirley King, Mildred Inman, Phyllis Young and their spouses, brothers Sonny and Willis (Bill) Kine, and son Tom.

Our family would like to express our gratitude for the doctors and nurses who attended to Linda during her illness.

Cremation has taken place, and a memorial service will take place at a future date.

In lieu of flowers, please give a donation to a Charity of Your Choice in Linda's name.

To The Hoffman Family and Pauline,

How sad it was to hear of Linda´s passing. We knew Linda through the King family. She will be fondly remembered as a very loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. We saw how dedicated she was to the many people in her life and to her faith. She was a beautiful painter, but her homemade cabbage patch dolls will be what we will remember her for. One of those dolls still circulates in our family.

Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this sad and difficult time.

With warmest condolences,

Allison and Lenard Arbour
