Linda Silvani Obituary

Family and friends of Linda Carol Anita Silvani (nee Richard) are saddened to inform of her passing after a courageous battle with cancer and a stroke.  She went peacefully to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on June 11, 2021 at age 69. She was born in Winnipeg on December 25, 1951 to George and Bertha Richard. She grew up in Mando Camps near Atikokan, ON, and in 1966 when the camps closed down, the family moved into town to 126 Zuke Street, Atikokan. She was a kind, loving, giving person who enjoyed her faith, her gardening, her beloved dog Grace, spending time with her numerous friends and baking steadily with which she blessed many people. She was predeceased by her husband Gino Silvani, her parents George and Bertha Richard, brother Douglas Richard and nephew Kenneth Hanlon. She is survived by her sisters Pearl Cross of Atikokan, Cindy Richard of Winnipeg, Laura Hanlon of Atikokan, brother Daniel (Shannon) Richard of Atikokan, nephews Lyle Cross, Cale Richard, Neil and Nicholas Richard, Patrick Hanlon, nieces Cara Richard, Ella and Laini Richard. She will be greatly missed by her many friends from Bayside Fellowship where she attended regularly, from Transformation Church, as well as dear friends and those in the neighborhood and around the city that she came to know. There will be a private celebration of her life with family and close friends. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Children were very dear to Linda's heart so in lieu of flowers donations can be made to Transformation Church Children's Ministry. Special thanks to Peggy Djordjevic and the Home Care workers and nurses who gave such wonderful care to Linda at home as well as to sister Laura for being there for the last few days. Arrangements have been entrusted to Simpler Times Cremation Centre, 332 North May Street, Thunder Bay.
