LOIS AUBE Obituary

LOIS AUBE March 27, 1936 - August 2, 2025
Lois Aube of Thunder Bay, Ontario, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2025, at the age of 89.

Born March 27, 1936, Lois was the youngest of six siblings: Fred, Vivian, Joan, Isabelle, and Colleen. She outlived all but Colleen, with whom she shared a lifelong bond marked by grit, love and laughter. Lois and her devoted husband, Neil, would celebrate 70 years of marriage in September. Together they raised two children: Kathleen (known to most as "Tass") and Doug (Kristi). She was a proud grandmother to Jennifer, Kim (Brodie), Andrea (Max) and Vanessa (Alex) and great-grandmother to Eddie, Evan, and Julie.

Lois was deeply loved by many and unwavering in her loyalty to those she held close. She was strong, grounded, and unforgettable. Her legacy lives on in the stories told around campfires, in the laughter of her grandchildren, and in the memories of those who knew and loved her. She loved birds watching them with a quiet fascination that revealed her deep appreciation for nature. She found joy in camping and fishing, where she could be outdoors, with her family, doing what she loved most.

The family encourages you to spend a day outside watch the birds, cast a line, and remember Lois in the places she felt most alive.

Neil, Kathy, Doug and families,

Rick and I are so sorry to hear of Lois´s passing. She was a wonderful lady and so devoted to her family. We still have the Christmas stockings she crocheted for our kids many years ago. Our thoughts are with you as you navigate this difficult time.
