Lorna Darlene Dumonski, 67 years, of Thunder Bay, Ontario, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2018, in the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. Lorna worked as a cashier for Safeway, Quality Market and Atkinson's and retired as a personal care worker for Care Partners. Lorna loved socializing with her family, enjoyed blueberry picking and with her cousin Margaret hit all the yard sales they could. Predeceased by her parents – Annie and Stephen Dumonski and brothers-in-law – Jean Guy Chalifoux and Allan Larocque; she is survived by her sister Ann Marie Larocque of Hurkett, Ontario, her brother Nick (Paula) Dumonski of Thunder Bay and her godson Trevor Chalifoux of Calgary, Alberta. Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive. According to Lorna's wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 29, 2018 at 2 P.M. at the Dorion Community Centre, Dorion, Ontario with Father H. Augustynowicz officiating. Interment will be in Dorion Mountainside Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Elliott Funeral Home Ltd., Nipigon.
