Louis Hebert, resident of Thunder Bay, passed away peacefully at the age of 71 years on January 6, 2013, with his family by his side. Louis was born on March 7, 1941 in Embrem, Ontario, third oldest child of six born to Leo and Fleur-Ange Hebert. The majority of Louis' life was dedicated to long haul truck driving, with the last 38 years committed to Manitoulin Trucking. Aside from truck driving, his passion was spending time with his grandchildren, fishing and collecting antiques. He will be dearly missed by his wife Gail; children Michelle (Brian) Waibel, Todd, Michael, Monica (Dave) Hutcheson, Charlene (Paul) Greening and Lynne Hebert. His grandchildren; Brenden and MacKenzie Waibel, Shastyn, Dezmond and Kash Hebert, Sarah and Christopher Hebert, Amber Hutcheson, Mandy, Hannah, David and Melody Greening, Jessica Hebert and one great grandchild, Wyatt Greening. He is also survived by and his siblings; Marjolaine Allard (Leo), Suzanne Hébert-Gagnon and Pierre Hébert (Célise) as well as numerous in-laws and extended family, including his mother-in-law Mina Favel - his Hagi bingo partner. Louis is pre-deceased by his parents, Fleur-Ange and Léo Hébert, sisters Pierrette Champagne, Mireille Hébert and grandson Stephen Greening. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 10th, 2013 in the Chapel of Harbourview Funeral Centre, 499 North Cumberland Street, officiated by Venerable Archdeacon Mark Conliffe. Visitation for friends will begin one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
