Lucille (Dolly) Johnson passed away February 14, 2021; she suffered a stroke after hip surgery at the age of 95, ten days from her 96th birthday, at Thunder Bay Regional Hospital. Valentines Day will never be the same for our family. We lost a special Mom, Mother-in-law, Grandmother and Great Grandmother on that day. Since 1984 she has been the cornerstone of our family always giving never taking. Lucille was predeceased by her husband James Johnson in 1984 and her son Robert (Bob) Johnson in 2011. She is survived by her daughter Joanne (Terry), grandchildren Scott (Wendy), Tara (Brett), Hilary (Jim), daughter-in-law Alicia, grandchildren Chantelle (Mike), Chad. Great grandchildren Jakob & Dane, Bronwyn & Payton, Nolan & Haley, Nathan & Angelina. Her family was the joy of her life especially her Grandkids and Great Grandkids, who all held a special place in her heart. We will miss your Ginger Snaps Great Grandma! She worked for years at Canada Post in Atikokan and at Lakehead Fabrics in Thunder Bay until she retired. Cremation has taken place as per her wishes. A private family interment service will be held at a later date due to Covid restrictions and family travel. Lucille (Dolly) made lasting memories in the lives of her family and many others. Her laughter, warmth, kindness, love and support will be forever missed. I (Joanne) would like to thank Mom's angel on earth Dr. Arlene Capricci for her patience, kindness and exceptional care over the years. We will be forever grateful. To the nurses of 2C Rita, Mallory & Melissa for the care you administered to my mother in her final days. A special thank you to my nephew Chad you were my support through all this I'll never be able to thank you enough, you were my rock. Should friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations to Alzheimer Society or Thunder Bay Health Sciences Foundation 2C-Cardiology Stroke Unit, in Lucille's memory, would be greatly appreciated.

I have had the pleasure of being one of Lucille's homemakers. She was a very friendly lady with many stories of growing up on the island. I enjoyed her company, and she will be missed. Condolences to her family. You were so good to her.
