Lurdes Candida

1922 - 2010 It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother Lurdes Candida, age 87 on June 4th, 2010 at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. At the moment of her passing she was surrounded by her loving children and grandchildren. Lurdes was born September 3rd, 1922 in Sao Sebastiao Terceira Acores. Lurdes was lovingly devoted to her 10 children, Jose (Lucia) of Toronto, Maria (Francisco) of Terceira Azores, Belarmino (Sebastiana) of Thunder Bay, Olinda (Manuel) of Toronto, Anunciacao (Hildberto) of Terceira Acores, Armando (Belmira) of Terceira Acores, Adelaide (Francisco) of Kitimat B.C., Idalina (Antonio) of Thunder Bay ON, Manuel (Aurora) of Thunder Bay ON, Benilde (Fernando) of Hamilton ON. Lurdes is also survived by her pride and joy's her 23 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. She will also be missed by her sister Maria Candida (Manuel) of Terceira Acores, Elvira Branco (Manuel) of Terceira Acores, Eva Leal (Manuel) of California, Brother Joao Da Silva (Rosalinda) of California, and Luiz Da Silva (Lidia) of Thunder Bay. She was predeceased by four of her children Manuel, Aldina, Clarinda, and Maria De Fatima. Funeral Services for the late Mrs. Lurdes Candida will be held on Tuesday June 8th, 2010 leaving the Harbourview Funeral Centre at 10:30 AM and going to St. Andrew's Roman Catholic Church for the Mass at 11:00 AM, celebrated by Fr. Luigi Filippini. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday evening (TONIGHT) from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM in the HARBOURVIEW FUNERAL CENTRE, 499 North Cumberland Street with Vigil Prayers being offered at 7:00 PM the same evening.
