Majorique Langlois Obituary

Majorique (Major/Peter) Langlois, 94, Passed away with his family by his side on Saturday, March 6, 2021. He is taking his final journey on the highway to Heaven to join his loving wife Bernice. Born on December 1, 1926, Majorique came into this world as a sole surviving twin, the eldest of 18 children. He left home at an early age to work in bush camps in Quebec and Northern Ontario. It was in the Geraldton area where he met his one and only love, Bernice Bernhard. They married and settled in Thunder Bay where raised their family. The doors to their home or camp on Hicks Lake were always open to family and friends. Dad was always a bush worker at heart. One day Mom made a suggestion that the back door should be moved. When she went off to work out came the chainsaw. By the time she got home there was a new doorway and a set of stairs. Major also worked for Saskatchewan Wheat Pool 4 for 24 years before his retirement in 1991. Survived by daughter Dolores (John) Nemeth, sons Jean-Pierre (Joyce) Langlois & Rejean (Darlene) Langlois. Four Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren. Brothers and Sisters from the Port Daniel, Quebec region. Longtime family Friend Judy Nuttall. Nieces, Nephews from Ontario and Quebec and extended family throughout Canada and the United States. Predeceased by his Wife Bernice in 2015 along with numerous family members and best Friend Allan Nuttall. He will be greatly missed by his fellow occupants and care givers of Hogarth Riverview Manor on Lily 3North. A heartfelt thank you goes out to all who attended to his needs during his time there.
