Marg Roberts Obituary

On Wednesday, October 29th, surrounded by family, Marg Roberts, age 68, passed away peacefully. Born and raised in Sioux Lookout and Kenora, she married Murray Roberts fifty years ago. After living briefly in Upsala and Christopher Lake, SK. , she became a resident of Thunder Bay. Few will remember she won curling club championships in both the Ladies' and Mixed Curling at the Port Arthur Curling Club. However, many will remember her passion for bridge and her loving kindness to everyone she met. She was the hub of the family and leaves her husband Murray; daughters Kim Price (Larry) and Kelli Czarnecki (Jan); son Scott (Becky); special son Moffatt Makuto (Amy); special daughter Dawna Sue Murphy (Stephen); grandchildren Kari-Lynn Price (Matko), Robert Price (Jacinth), Patrick Price (Shannon), Colin & Kate Czarnecki; special granddaughters Farisai and Nyasha Makuto; sisters Joyce Keele of Winnipeg and Mary McDonald of Edmonton; along with many nieces and nephews. A fond farewell and sincere thanks to Dr. John Nickerson; Dr. Doug Stringer and staff at Bay View Medical, Panama City; Dr. Falkson; Dr. Huan; Dr. Chan; the staff at the Cancer Clinic; the dedicated and caring staff of '4 East', Thunder Bay Regional North; and the expert care of the Palliative Care Unit, St. Joseph's Hospice; and to all her caring friends these long last months. In accordance with the wishes of this quiet, dignified lady, cremation has taken place and a private memorial with be held at a later internment date. Memorials in Marg's name may be made to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation, 290 Munro Street, Thunder Bay, ON, P7C 4Z5."
