LEROUX

Into loving arms of our Lord, Irene (Margaret), in her 78th year, made her final journey home on April 6, 2018. Irene was born in Thunder Bay on December 20th, 1939. She grew up in Beardmore where she met her beloved husband, Andre Leroux and together, they welcomed into the world four beautiful daughters. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and loving aunt. In her younger years, Irene loved to play ball with her women's softball team and enjoyed curling with her younger sister and sidekick Pearl. She also enjoyed a good game of cards with her two brother's Dave and Tom. Her summers were spent picking blueberries and camping at the Lake Nipigon. Irene will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Lise of Stony Plain, AB; Jazz (Dwayne) Mann of Salisbury, NB; Vianna (Tom) Gilks of Red Deer, AB; and nieces Pierrette McLeod and Holly Prince of Thunder Bay who she was close too. Her grandchildren, Marcie (Neil) Hampson, Andrew (Gillian) Leroux, Megan (Jon) Brown, Dru Mann, Thomas Gilks and Helayna Gilks, great-grandchildren, Mikayla and Hannah Hampson, Chase, Cavelle, and Carra Brown. She will also be remembered by numerous nieces and nephews. Irene was predeceased by her parents Margaret and Angus McCrady, husband Andre Leroux, daughter Suzanne Goodman, brother's David, Tom and Angus Jr McCrady and by her sister Pearl Ladouceur. Services for Irene will be on July 27, 2018, at 1:00 pm at St Dominic's Church on 130 Redwood Avenue West, Thunder Bay, On. A reception take place in the church hall immediately after with private interment following. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian MS Society and the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
