MARILYN WALLACE Obituary

MARILYN CAROL WALLACE
With deep sadness, we announce the peaceful passing of Marilyn Carol Wallace on Saturday evening, October 4, 2025, comforted by her loved ones following a brief hospitalization. Her strength, love, and generosity will forever remain in our hearts.

Marilyn was born in Port Arthur, Ontario on June 27, 1944, the daughter to Clarence and Lillian Williams. She found joy in the simple pleasures in life, but nothing brought her more happiness than the company of her dear friend, Ray Brown, whom she affectionately called her "Ray of Sunshine". Together, they shared countless evenings filled with laughter, good food, and music, often found dancing the night away. Ray had a unique ability to encourage her to step outside of her comfort zone, creating memories that will forever be cherished.

Marilyn found great joy in the company of her sons, enjoying every moment spent together. She also found time to travel, especially when it meant visiting her beloved grandchildren over the 4th of July and Labour Day. These trips were filled with many adventures and stories creating lasting memories, reflecting her dedication to family.

In her spare time, she was always doing things for others, quietly collecting pop cans for her sponsor child, picking up and delivering food for others and helping the church raise money for improvements. She was a silent warrior with a large heart and had kind words for all. She graduated from Lakeview High School and retired from Statistics Canada.

Marilyn is survived by her sons Roben (Adele), Thunder Bay, and Kyle (Alisa), grandchildren Brennan and Cara, Elk River, Minnesota; brother Bradley Williams (Ardi), Manotick, Ontario, and nieces Taryn (Greg), Kari-Leigh (Josh) and several great nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband John Stirling Wallace and parents Lillian and Clarence Williams, brothers Roy and Rodger Williams.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Harmony United Church, 1 Shuniah Street, Presided by Rev. David Silliman. Visitation for family and friends will begin one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, as expressions of sympathy, donations in Marilyn's memory to Harmony United Church Thunder Bay or Seven Wells Ministries, Winnipeg, Manitoba, would be appreciated.
