Mario Methot Obituary

Mario Methot, age 57 years and formerly of St. Joseph's Hospital, passed away peacefully in Roseview Manor on Thursday May 24th, 2012 after a lengthy and courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis.When Mario was younger, he loved to go hunting, fishing and was involved with racing stock cars, however in more recent years, his passion revolved more around NASCAR.Mario will be lovingly remembered by his mother Alma, his sisters Elyse Galick and Lisa (Glen) Daley as well as his brother Marcel (Sylvia) Methot. Numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive, including Dion Galick who was more like a friend. He was predeceased by his father Alphonse, his sister Melanie and his brother Leon.Cremation has taken place and Private Family Services will be held at a later date. If friends so desire donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada.The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the Nursing Staff at St. Joseph's Hospital for the years of patience and the excellent care shown to Mario. Also, to the staff of Roseview Manor - Primrose Wing, for making Mario feel so welcome and at home as well as for the comfort given to him near the end.
