MARION WALTERS Obituary

WALTERS, MARION (Grymoloski)
August 23, 1930 - July 26, 2024
Marion Walters passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Hospital. Born and raised in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, Marion often spoke about growing up on a farm. After completing school, she moved to Winnipeg, and was proud to work as a hairdresser. She met the love of her life, Don, in Winnipeg. They were married in 1951, and later moved their growing family to Thunder Bay. Marion loved her gardens and flowers, baking, making soup and was well known for her amazing cabbage rolls. She must have made hundreds of thousands of cabbage rolls over the years. While Marion was always busy, her family was her number one priority. She was very proud of her four sons, and all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survived by her sons Pat (Mary Helen), Grant (Andrea), Philip (Carol) and Bob (Judy). Also survived by her brother Tom (Donna) and sister Carol (Wally), and grandchildren Sarah (Bill), Ben (Alie), Jeff (Meghan), Trevor (Kaytee), Alex (Jake), Grahame (Jess), Devin (Tanya) and 8 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Don, sister Phyllis, brother-in-law Bill, granddaughter Brenda and her parents Stephen and Anne Grymoloski. Thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff on 4N at St. Joseph's Hospital. Cremation has taken place, and a private service will be held, with interment at a later date. If so desired, donations may be made to the Charity of Your Choice.

Condolences to the entire Walters family. Aunt Marion was always one of our favourite people. We looked forward to talking to her just about every week. Her kindness came out in the way she talked to you. We loved her and will forever miss her.

My deepest condolences to Marion“s family. She was one of the most beautiful ladies I met when I moved to Thunder Bay, and lived just across the road from her. Although I never met her family, I felt like I knew them. She was so proud of each and everyone. She always had a big wave every time I drove by. She loved to chat and always inquired about everyone.
Marion I will always remember you. Rest easy dear lady. I love you
