Marjorie Merkley Obituary

Mrs. Marjorie Winnifred Merkley age 82 years of Thunder Bay passed away peacefully on Monday evening, September 2, 2002. Born in Holland, Manitoba she moved to Port Arthur in the late 1940's and has lived here since that time. She retired from Safeway Stores in 1983. Marjorie was a longtime member of St. John's Anglican Church and the ACW. She was actively involved in various charitable organizations. She enjoyed travelling, camping and fishing. Her family, home and pets were in her main interests. Survived by her husband Mark, 5 children Bryan Strain of Prince George, B.C. , George Bunk, Barry Bunk, Margaret Bunk all of Thunder Bay, Elizabeth Anne Moore of Cornwall, Ont. , 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, special cousin Evelyn Kilfoyle, numerous other relatives also survive in Manitoba and in England.Predeceased by her parents, two sons Donald Bunk in 1992, Wayne Bunk in 2000. Funeral services for the late Mrs. Marjorie Winnifred Merkley will be held on Friday, September 6, 2002 at 1:00 PM in St. John's Anglican Church, Pearl Street with The Venerable Archdeacon M.S. Conliffe officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation for friends will be on Thursday after 2:00 P MintheEVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL,299Waverley Street at Algoma.
