MARVYL HANELY Obituary

HANLEY (BRADFORD) Marvyl passed away peacefully with family by her side at Bethammi Long-Term Care on April 24, 2024. She along with her twin sister Grace were born May 26, 1940, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She attended and graduated from Port Arthur Technical School and King's Business College. She lived and worked in Thunder Bay, Winnipeg, Montreal and Edmonton moving back to Thunder Bay in 1986. She was also a member of the Port Arthur Legion Branch 5.

Marvyl was outgoing and friendly. Nobody was a stranger to her; she met and had many friends along the way. Mom loved to play piano and sing along with her sisters Grace and Joanie. Music always played a special part in all phases of her life along with Elvis. The many family events were always memorable, and stories continue to this day. Knitting and crocheting baby clothes, sweaters and blankets were among favorite pastimes as well as oil painting, Cooking and collecting recipes. Not to mention her casino visits.

She is survived by her sister Joanie, children Wendy, Tammy, Mark, Patty, and Joey. Stepchildren Micheal, Melissa, Stephen and David. Many grandchildren and great grandchildren whom she loved and cherished. Also, her nieces and nephews with whom she was very close. If you are not mentioned here, it is not because you are forgotten.

Mom was predeceased by her husband Patrick, her parents Carol and Clark, her twin sister Grace, brother in-law Barry, great nephew Luke, and special family member Matrix.

We would like to Thank the amazing 2nd floor staff at Bethammi who provided care and compassion for mom. A Celebration of Life for Marvyl and Grace will be held at a later date this summer.
