It is with great sadness and heavy hearts, that we announce the unexpected passing of Matthew John Hudyma. He passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023 in Thunder Bay at the age of 32.
Matthew was born on March 31, 1991 to John and Linda Hudyma. He was a kind and caring person and was always there for you. Matt's smile lit up the room and he was loved by everyone. He had a great childhood with his loving Mom and Dad, and an awesome group of friends who meant everything to him. Matt was a gamer and loved his video games online with friends.
He recently started a career at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre as a storekeeper, which he loved, and was so excited making plans for the future.
Matt is survived by his mother Linda and father John.
A Celebration of Life for Matthew will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2023 with a come and go reception held from 6:30pm until 8:30pm in the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street at James.
Should friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations made in memory of Matthew to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation would be greatly appreciated.

Sean and I had the pleasure of getting to know Matt through his friendship with our sons, Taylor and Liam. He was so funny and full of laughter love and music. We are so deeply saddened by Matt´s passing and will remember this vibrant young man with a real fondness. Our most sincere condolences to his family and friends. Gone far too soon. This is a heartbreaking loss that is felt by many.

My deepest sympathies to Matt's family and his friends. I met Matt through Brenden and Nicole and have many memories of fun times either at bonfires or times at the beach. He had an infectious smile and personality that just drew people to him. He will be missed dearly. We will have a drink and a trip to the beach in his honor. Rest in peace Matt

My deepest sympathies, Matt was always great to spend time with, my fondest memories was going to the beach out at cloud bay with Matt and Brendon and the rest of the crew playing football or frizbee in the lake then having a b-b-q on the shore, It wil be the times I will treasure. for very long but he was a good worker, pleasant to be around and a welcome addition to the department. It is extremely sad that his life was cut so short and he will be missed. Rest peacefully Matt.
