It is in great sorrow that we announce the passing of Mrs. Maureen Rosemary Pelletier (Nee) McGuire on Dec 15, 2025, with her loving husband by her side. Maureen was 82 years of age and member of Fort William First Nation Ontario. She was born on February 19, 1943, in MacDiarmid Ontario where she grew up with been the fifth oldest sibling of 17 children. She enjoyed watching game shows and classic tv shows. She loved her thrift shopping, playing bingo, and having card games with friends. Maureen and her husband Victor would travel all over Canada and the USA, attending the powwows trails, Catholic ceremonies and Black Friday shopping. One of her greatest joys was her grandchildren, she loved them all so very much. Maureen had a big heart and would help anyone in need. Maureen was a devoted Catholic and a member of St. Annes Parish. She kept her Ojibwe Cultural teachings and traditions close to her heart. She took great pride in being a deacon's wife, assisting her husband in the church and surrounding communities. Maureen will be forever missed by Husband Reverend Mr. Victor Pelletier of 61 years. Children Kelvin Taylor (Denise), Anne Luretig (Rocky), Vic Jr, Shelley LaBelle (Willy), Tara Bannon (Scott). Grandchildren Amanda, Jesse, Cody, Savannah, Camryn, Luke, Krystal, Kelvin Jr, Jasmine, Zamber, Matthew, Max and 12 Great grandchildren. Her surviving siblings, Tiny, Henry, Daniel, Kathleen, Ceclia, and Patricia. Plus numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Patrick and Annie McGuire, beloved Son Tim Taylor, Grandson John LaBelle and Shay Boucher. As well as her siblings Patrick, Agnes, Micheal, Pamela, Twins Nate and George, Russel, Julia, Sullivan. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, when family and friends will gather for Funeral Mass at 11:00 am in St. Anne's Mission Church, celebrated by Rev. Biju Mathew. Entombment to follow in Our Lady of Charity Mausoleum. Visitation for friends will be held Monday evening from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in St. Anne's Mission Church, with Vigil Prayers being held at 7:00 pm.
