Our dearest, Mauricio Mendoza, age 34 years, a resident of Thunder Bay has passed away suddenly, on March 14, 2013. There are no words that can express the feeling that we are experiencing in this great loss. Mauricio is unlike any other friend, brother and son or man. His time has come to leave us physically but he will forever remain with us in spirit and heart. Mauricio will always be a bright shining star to us all, an inspiration of love, peace, and hope and a lot of laughter. His will to strive for success will keep on driving all who knew him to succeed in their goals as he was always one to not give up. Mauricio previously worked for Thunder Bay Housing. He enjoyed playing basketball, listening to rap music and creating his own raps. One of his favourite hobbies was to play PlayStation 3. He was a very hard worker, bright, intellectual, intuitive, and was just brilliant overall. Mauricio's friends would often refer to him as an awesome guy. One phrase that would definitely describe Maurice is "a man with a unique personality," he was a people's person, always faced his failures head on, lived with no regrets and loved to share his wisdom from past experiences. He was a very loving, outgoing, trustworthy, funny, caring, and humble man. He always had a smile no matter what the situation was Mauricio would find the peaceful way to settle it. He would take his shirt off his back for anybody and not expect a single thing in return. If Maurice had something on his mind or had something to voice, you could be sure that you would hear it. He was always courteous, polite and very strong hearted. Maurice was and will always be a great, fantastic, amazing friend, brother and son.
