Mayme Tangness Obituary

Mrs. Mayme Louise Tangness (nee: Carter) passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2006 at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. She was born in O'Connor Township on January 9, 1922 to Muriel and James Carter. On September 6, 1940 she married Anton Tangness in Geraldton, Ontario. Survived by Muriel Docherty (Rev. Robert), Ralph Tangness (Jackie) and David Tangness (Janet); grandchildren Susan Docherty-Skippen (Stephen), Robert Docherty, Kathryn Stark (Sam), Robin Tangness-Reed (Russell), Elaine Tangness, Leila Tangness and Eric Tangness; great-grandsons Carter Reed, Jacob Reed, Timothy Skippen and Benjamin Skippen; brothers James and Murray Carter. Predeceased by her parents, husband Anton, sister Roberta and brother Howard Carter. Funeral services for Mrs. Mayme Tangness will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. at Jenkens Funeral Home. Memorial donations to The War Amps and Northern Cancer Research Foundation would be appreciated by the family."
