MERVIN PENNOCK Obituary

MERVIN PENNOCK
Mervin Pennock, a lifelong resident of Nakina, passed away December 15, 2025 at Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre with family at his side. Mervin's passing came 10 days after his milestone birthday of 95 years of age.

Merv was well known throughout the region and across the USA. His career allowed him 25 years with Kimberly Clark, 35 years of building and operating Pennock's Tourist Service with his family and a final 15 years, consulting.

Mervin will be greatly missed by all.

The family would like to extend mention to the team at PR Cook Apartments for the lifestyle and care Mervin experienced there while a resident and finally to the care received at the Regional hospital and the dedicated group effort on 2A for his final days.

Cremation has taken place; there will be a Celebration of Life in the summer of 2026 in Nakina. There is a full obituary on the Harbourview Funeral Centre website.

Dear Bill and family, I am so sad to hear of Mervin's passing. I regret not knowing him and his family but so glad he reconnected with my Mother, Edna, after years apart. Their reunion made her so happy and to know he lived a full and happy life was a source of great peace in her own.
