Miho Maeba Obituary

MRS. MIHO RUTH MAEBA(NEE KOBAYASHI)The family announces with sorrow her death at home on January 24th at the age of 90 years. Beloved wife of the late John and dearest mother of: Paul of Kamloops, B.C. , Peter (Jeannette) of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Miki (Dan Gillis) of Robert's Creek, B.C. , Frances (Richard Fry) of Marathon, Ontario, Carol (Joseph Audia) of Geraldton, Ontario and Grace (Robert Trudeau) of Yellowknife, N.W.T. She will be sadly missed by her 13 grandchildren and her 4 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her daughter, Akiko and husband, John. Born and raised in Japan, Mrs. Maeba moved to Vancouver in 1933 as a young bride. She relocated to Slocan City and from there the family moved to Geraldton in 1946 where she spent her remaining fifty-five years. Friends will be received at Fawcett Funeral Home (Geraldton) on January 28th from 2- 4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. . The funeral ceremony will be held at St. James Memorial Church (Geraldton) on Monday, January 29th at 11 a.m. with the Rev. C. Milne officiating. The interment will be held at Pinegrove Cemetery. Donations to St. James Memorial Fund would be appreciated."
