Mike Kapush Obituary
Mike Kapush, age 98, of Dawson Road, passed away on Friday, March 24, 2023 in the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.
Mike was born on September 13, 1924 in Port Arthur, Ontario. He was involved in the dairy business, the logging industry and a contractor until his retirement. During his retirement, Mike and Elna enjoyed winter vacations in Florida and Arizona for many years; summers were enjoyed at their camp at Dog Lake. Mike enjoyed reading the newspaper, watching the news. He was also very concerned about the environment and an avid recycler.
Mike is survived by his children Stanley (Barbara), Michael (Lynne), Karen (Chris), Mark (Julie) and Trevor (Cara); 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife Elna, grandson Jordan Kapush, parents Jack and Marcella, as well as brothers Lodyk, Albert and Edwin Kapush.
A Celebration of Life for Mike will take place on Saturday, April 15th beginning at 12:00 pm at the Kam Community Centre, ON-102, Kaministiquia.

Truly sorry to hear about Mike. Mike was such a gentleman and always had such a great outlook. He was very proud of his family as that was easy to see. I enjoyed helping Mike as he always was so up beat. He will be truly missed by so many... his coffee friends. My condolences to Mikes family . Barb from physio
