MIRANDA VANDERZWAAG Obituary

Miranda Joy VanderZwaag age 36 years, a resident of Slate River, Ontario passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 14th, 2023. Miranda was born January 2, 1987. She was welcomed into the world, and we saw the joy that she brought to it. She attended Thunder Bay Christian School, Valley Central and graduated from F.W.C.I. in 2008. Miranda loved to watch her cousins play hockey and could always be found trackside at Thunder City Speedway. She was a crafter, welder, and a Jill of all trades. Miranda will be lovingly remembered by her mother Teresa Davis, children Kayden and Emma and their father Dan Petch. Also left to grieve is her grandmother Hendrika VanderZwaag, as well as a very large extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins. Miranda will also be sadly missed by numerous friends and co-workers. She was predeceased by her grandfather John VanderZwaag, uncle John VanderZwaag, and step-dad Pat Hanna. Cremation has taken place and funeral services will be held on Friday, November 24th, 2023, at 1:00 pm in First Christian Reformed Church, 9 Cooper Road, Oliver Paipoonge, celebrated by Pastor Matthew Guichelaar. Should friends desire, memorial donations to the Thunder Bay Christian School would be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Blake Funeral Chapel.
