Nadia Chomicki Obituary

Nadia passed away peacefully on May 3, 2021, at the age of 94, at Bethammi Nursing Home. Her childhood was spent in Manitoba before joining the Royal Canadian Naval Reserve working at H.M.S.C.S Chippewa and then the Naval Services where she became Petty Officer 2nd Class as an Administrative Writer for 25 years. After retirement Nadia moved to Thunder Bay and became a pillar of the local dog show community. She was an active member with the local kennel clubs, the Canadian Kennel Club and Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club. Under her kennel name "Nadj", she bred and showed her Corgis extensively throughout Canada & the USA. She will be remembered for her hearty laugh, a take "no sass" attitude and how she never stood for any "BS" from anyone. She was predeceased by her parents, Emil & Mary and her brother Marion. Interment of cremains will be held at Mountain View Cemetery at a later date.

Nadia was a very good friend of myself and my late husband Fred,
They both were together in the navy at the same time......he was a petty officer as well as the pay master.....they shared their memories to the fullest.......
Then, we would talk dogs.......it was always a very enjoyable visit......
