Nicholas Little Obituary

Captain Nicholas “Nick” Christian Little
November 4, 1986 – December 11, 2015

Captain Nicholas “Nick” Christian Little, age 29 years, passed away suddenly as a result of an airplane accident, on Friday, December 11, 2015.
Nick will be forever missed by his loving wife, Kaila McLeod-Little; his fur child, who was his "favourite little whoey/ boy," Eddie Little; his mother Bodil and siblings Martin and Rebecca Little; his Mormor (Grandma); his father-in-law and mother in-law Rob and Sandra McLeod and his brother in-law Nolan McLeod (Sian). He will also be missed by Uncles, Aunts, and Cousins. Nick is now in the arms of his late father, Ross Little.

Nick was born on November 4, 1986 in Fonthill, Ontario. He left his home in Fonthill, to attend Sault College for the Aviation Program, in 2006. It was here that he started his aviation journey, completing the 3 year program. Along the way, he made many friends and even met the love of his life. In 2010, he and his love moved to Elliot Lake, where he met some great people and started his career working with Air Bravo. They then moved to Thunder Bay, where he started working on the Pilatus PC 12 with Air Bravo, spending 3 years with them. During this time, he made many more special friends. In 2013, he started with Wasaya, flying the Beech 1900. He then became Captain, flying the Cessna Caravan out of Pickle Lake. There too, he made memorable friends. There has been an outpouring of love from this small, but big aviation community. As we have seen over the past few days, in social media, Nick wasn't just a friend to most, he was part of a family. The compassion and support we have felt during these few days have made this a little more bearable.

Nick was one of a kind. His infectious laugh, quick witted humour and heart of gold will be missed by anyone who had the pleasure to have had Nick in their life. Nick and Kaila enjoyed spending time golfing, visiting family in Denmark, playing baseball with the Brew Jays, fishing at Skookum Lake, drinking beer or wine with the boys and gaming with his Starcraft buds 'til 4am. Most of all, he loved being lazy with our little dog, Eddie.

I love you my Nicholas.
You will always be in our hearts
and I know you are watching over us.
Your love: Kaila.

Thank you to everyone who was involved for your tireless efforts through this tragic event. Thank you to the Wasaya family. You have gone over and above for our family.

Funeral Services for the late Captain Nick Little will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at 1:00PM in the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore Street at James. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday evening from 6:00PM until 9:00PM in the Chapel.

Should friends or family so desire, donations can be made to a bursary that has be created in Nick's Name at Sault College, for the aviation program. He would be so proud to have his name live on through this bursary. All donations are greatly appreciated.
