1953-2012The family of Norine Chocorlan (Turner), age 58 years, is saddened to announce her passing on March 13th, 2012 after a lengthy illness. Norine was born October 6, 1953 in Fort William. She was employed at McKellar General Hospital, TBRH for over 20 years as a Dietary Assistant until her retirement in 2004, due to illness. Her favorite past times included traveling to different places in the Caribbean, and especially Hinckley Casino. Each summer Norine loved spending time at her trailer at Come by Chance on Whitefish Lake. Norine's babies were her 3 dogs, Tanner, Tia and Turner, who she very much spoiled. Norine's nephew Jeffrey held a special place in her heart as he unselfishly donated a kidney in January, 2004 to her so she could enjoy a better quality of life. Norine is survived by her partner Debbie, sisters Karen and Jill (Mervin), nieces and nephews Laura (Billy, Serenity), Shelby (Nich, Milla), Jeffrey (Cassandra, Walker, Burke), Tyler, Whitney (Andrew) and Kyle, and numerous cousins including special cousin Bill. Predeceased by her husband Ron, parents Norman and Florence Turner. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Peter's Church, 615 Connolly Street on Saturday, March 17th, 2012 at 11:00 am. Special thanks to Dr. McCready and the renal staff and the nurses on 2A at the TBRHSC for the wonderful care they have given to Norine over the years. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre Renal Unit would be greatly appreciated.On-line condolencesmay be made
