NORMA SKOK Obituary


It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the unexpected passing of Norma Skok (Duke), on Saturday, November 23, 2024.

Norma was born on January 19, 1951 to Harold and Phyllis Duke (Colbins) in Port Arthur, Ontario. Norma grew up in Current River, attending both Black Bay and Current River Public Schools, then onto Lakeview High School. She worked at Stan's Pizza and the Landmark Inn as a waitress. In 1970 Norma married the love of her life, Peter Skok and together they raised their 3 children - Michael, Richard and Jennifer.

Norma is survived by Michael (Kelly) Skok, Laurie Skok and Jennifer Skok, brothers and sisters Norman (Joan) Duke, Richard (Gayle) Duke, Patty (Bill) Garrioch, John (Joan) Duke, and Debbie Duke.

Norma is also survived by her grandchildren - Stephany (Devin), Kasey, Grace (Hayden), Deven, Abby and Emma, and great grandchildren Seryna, Elizabeth, Quinn, TJ, Bryer, Isaac and Callan, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She leaves behind her many friends - she loved you so!

Norma was predeceased by her parents Phyllis and Harold Duke, husband Peter (2020), son Richard Skok (2024) and brother Sidney Duke.

A service will be held at Everest Funeral Home, 299 Waverley St. at Algoma, on Monday December 16, 2024 at 11am. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
