It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Pat Bourguignon. Pat was a devoted husband, a wonderful father, and a proud grandfather. Left with memories to cherish always are his loving wife Debbie (nee Dimmery), his children Lisa (Colin Biggs), Danny (Corrin Madge), and his three grandchildren Autumn, Savannah, and Dana and he was looking forward to the arrival of his fourth in August of this year. He will also be greatly missed by his brother Mike (Darlene), sisters Sandra Morrison, Debbie Riley (Shane), Bonny Miller (George), and Judy Willett (Terry). His mother-in-law Rose Dimmery, his Sister-in-law Sue Winters (Len) and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and community members who will greatly miss his unique sense of humour, and the t-shirts that he wore proudly every single day. Pat was predeceased by his father Patrick, his mother Sandy, and his father-in-law Henry Dimmery. Pat was born in Fort William on March 20th, 1955 to Sandy and Pat Bourguignon. He grew up in Schreiber and went on to work for CP rail, and retired after 35 years of service in 2010. Pat married the love of his life Debbie on May 26, 1979, and together they raised their family. They enjoyed many years of fishing, camping, travelling and were able to fulfill a life long dream of building a family camp together at Maude Lake in 2014. The camp was truly a special place to Pat and became a stop for everyone who was passing by. He was a proud member of the Schreiber Fire Department for 34 years, and the chief since 2009. Pat was well known for his sense of humour, his kindness and generosity, and was always willing to help anybody who needed a hand. Over the years Pat wore many hats. This included driving the medical van, working as a paramedic for St. Johns Ambulance, doing patient watch at the hospital, and filling in at AV during mill shutdown. He was extremely proud of his family and all of their accomplishments. Pat woke up every morning happy and enjoyed every day to the fullest, and he especially enjoyed the weekend coffee and muffin club that was held at his home. No matter where he went he always had a joke to share. You could not travel anywhere in Canada where Pat did not run into someone he knew. He made friends everywhere he went and always had a smile and laughter to brighten everyone's day. In keeping with Pat's wishes cremation has taken place. A celebration of Pat's life will be held in his honour at the Schreiber Arena on Friday May 11th, at 1:00pm. If friends so desire donations can be made to Muscular Dystrophy through the Schreiber Fire Department, or a charity of your choice, but please feel free to honour Pat in your own special way.

We will miss his ready smile and friendly greeting every time we met. His generosity and selflessness were two of his most obvious qualities. Hopefully, Lisa and Danny and the grandchildren will carry this on aided by Deb, a dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother. God bless the entire Bouguignon family in their tragic loss.
