July 4, 1949 ~ September 12, 2025
We sadly announce the passing of Patric after a lengthy battle with cancer. His fight came to an end on September 12, 2025.
Left to mourn his loss is his daughter Michelle, grandson Devin, siblings Dale, James, Janice, Joanne and Connie, uncle Roland (Julie) Tremblay, close nephew Mike and cherished friends Susan Constant-Hamilton and Brian (Barb) Luoma.
Patric was predeceased by great grandparents Martin and Rozalie Smigel, parents Albert (2018) and Lebea (2014) Smigel and dearest sister Lynda Joynson (2015).
Patric held many certificates and worked for many different unions Canada wide.
He was a Thunder Bay Ambulance First Responder until he found his calling travelling Canada wide working on the Trans Canada Pipeline and highways. Holding the title "Bandaid" emergency responder amongst other titles.
Patric had a passion for mechanics, Mustangs, Broncos and Harley Davidsons and could always be found in a garage or shop tinkering with something. He travelled cross country to work on his Triumph bike, fishing pole and supplies strapped to his saddlebags. He had endless stories of his travels and sights.
A love of music was ingrained in him from his family. You'd catch my dad playing the guitar after tossing a few back telling stories of life's lessons he learned during his lifetime.
So many memories will carry the ones who are mourning his loss.
Cremation has taken place. An intimate family gathering to take place at a later date.
Rest easy, Dad. You will be missed more than words can say.
