PATRICIA (PAT) CHEPONIS May 6, 1953 - January 9, 2026
Patricia Cheponis (née Hassard) was born in Saskatchewan and grew up in Thompson, Manitoba, where she met and married her husband, Robert. They later moved to Thunder Bay, where they lived until Robert's death in 2023. Pat then moved to Ottawa to be near her daughter and son-in-law Cynthia and Nicolas.
Pat passed away peacefully at the Ottawa Civic Hospital. She is lovingly remembered by Cynthia (Nicolas), and by her brother and sisters Darcy (Chris), Linda, and Debi (John), as well as by her extended family. She will be remembered for her love of reading, her kindness towards animals, and her gentle demeanor.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Pat's memory may be made to your local cat rescue organization or Humane Society.

I am very sorry to hear to about the passing of Pat. I knew Pat and Bob in Shebandowan and in Thunder Bay, likely 50 years. Pat was always there no matter what, a good sport. Loved her cats and was just a nice person. My regards to you Cynthia, Nick and the rest of the family.
