PATRICIA CURRIE Obituary
(LAWLIS) CURRIE
Patricia Sharonn (Lawlis) Currie, born October 21, 1944, to Pearl and Irvin Lawlins in Kenora, Ontario, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2025, surrounded by her family.
In January 27th of 1968, she married the love of her life, Ken Currie, with whom she shared 47 wonderful years of marriage before his passing on February 16, 2015.
Pat was a devoted mother to Calvin Currie (Brandie) and Jason Currie (Ann), and a proud grandmother to Caly (Brandon Morrison), Shirley Lynn, Jaymie (Austin Blackburn), and Jessica. Her heart was especially full when it came to her great-grandsons: Bryson, Kenneth and Malakai Morrison,, and Jaxon Blackburn.
Her bond with her older sisters, Evelyn Hughes and Dorothy Kufflick (d. 2020) , was unbreakable, and she remained close with them throughout her life. Patricia had a great love for cards and Scrabble, and every Wednesday for 40 years she could be found at the bowling alley with her friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring of 2026.
The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at St. Joseph's Hospital.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Cancer Research Society, or the Terry Fox Foundation.
