It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Patricia Lamont (nee Kuluski), age 70 years, after a brief illness on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 in St. Joseph's Hospice with her step daughter by her side.
Pat worked at Abitibi Provincial Papers until her retirement in 2000. It is here where she met her husband to be, George Lamont, and on October 21, 1972 they tied the knot. They enjoyed travelling, playing with their dogs and watching their grandchildren grow.
She was also a hard working and dedicated volunteer at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #5 where she worked in the kitchen and cherished the friendships she made. Besides volunteering there, she also enjoyed going to the many teas and fundraisers they had.
Pat looked forward to Sundays so she could see her friends at church. She was a member of the Calvin Presbyterian Church and attended regularly until she was unable, due to her health.
Pat took pleasure in making her own special greeting cards and in knitting and made many beautiful afghans, sweaters, mitts, etc. for family and friends which were, and will be cherished by them forever.
Pat enjoyed bowling and gardening, but her favorite past times were spending time with her grandchildren, Jason and Lisa, whether it was taking them to Sunday school in their younger years or just getting together. She also enjoyed going for walks around Boulevard with her friend Jim and her faithful companions, her dogs.
Pat was predeceased by her husband George (1993); her parents Olga (1981) and Peter Kuluski (1989) and brother-in-law Ian MacIsaac.
Pat will be sadly missed by her sister, Linda MacIsaac (Winnipeg, Manitoba), brothers James (Maureen) Kuluski, Dave Kuluski & Jerrie Byzinski, Skip (Taimi) Kuluski and their families and her step daughter Joanne (Jim) Pike and their children all of Thunder Bay. Numerous aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Thank you to the doctors, nurses and therapists of 4 North at St. Joseph's Hospital for their kindness, compassion and wonderful care.
Funeral services for the late Mrs. Patricia Lamont will be held on Monday, April 27, 2015 at 11:00am in the EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley Street at Algoma with Pastor Ken Haggarty officiating. A private interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family gratefully requests donations be made to St. Joseph's Hospice, New Hope Dog Rescue or the charity of your choice in Pat's memory.

My condolences to Pats family. I knew her a long time ago. We both lived in the intercity area. She knew my parents and visited our family. It was great to see her again after so many years had passed. I met her walking around boulevard lake 6 or 7 years ago, and we always stopped and talked for awhile. I am happy that I had the chance to see her again. Shirley
