The family of Patricia (Pat) Joan Ross sadly announce her passing on March 6, 2026. Born on October 4th, 1936 to the late Peter and Mary Boloty, she was educated at Cornwall School, Hillcrest High School and King's Business College. She started her working career at Superior Lumber Company followed by the C. D. Howe Company. After marriage, she was a stay at home mom for her three daughters, a role she was dedicated to and actively involved in all their school and extracurricular activities. In later years, she worked part time at Northern Wood Preservers, Lakehead Board of Education and T. Eaton Company.
She was a long time, dedicated, member of the Associated Canadian Travellers and the United Commercial Travelers Association where she and her late husband, Gord, created many lasting friendships. She was also a Past President of the Port Arthur Jaycettes and past member of the Canadian Lakehead Exhibition Agricultural Committee. Until the last few years, she enjoyed playing biweekly bridge with her group, as well as having different social groups that would go out to lunch once a month.
Lovingly remembered by daughters, Karen (Ernie) Hoard; Laurie (David) Henderson and Noreen (Jeff) Enstrom. Grandchildren, Tyra Hoard (Tyler), Christopher Henderson (Marissa), Jori (Kyle) Enstrom, Nicholas (Joanne) Enstrom & Samantha (Jacques) Tremblay, great-granddaughter Ember Enstrom and soon to arrive baby Henderson. Also survived by brothers-in-law James Leonard and John Ross (Sonia) as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents Peter and Mary Boloty, husband, Gordon Ross (Nov/22), siblings Ken Boloty and Laverne Leonard, nephew Ken Leonard as well as in-laws Tony and Mrytle Ross, Jim (June) Ross, Norman (Rita) Ross.
The family would like to extend its gratitude to the long term care staff at both Hogarth Riverview Manor and Lakehead Manor for their care of mom during the last few weeks.
As per Pat's request, cremation has taken place and there will be no service at this time. If friends desire, donations may be made to a
charity of choice.
