PAUL LAMBERT Obituary

PAUL MICHAEL LAMBERT September 13, 1958 - January 31, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved brother Paul. Also known as "Botchy" to his close family and friends, and, most recently "Positive Paul" for his courageous battle with cancer. Paul was a kind man with a gentle soul who loved his family and friends very much. In his younger years Paul enjoyed many activities at the Carrick Park such as Roller Derby on ice (he especially enjoyed hip checking his sisters into the snowbank). Hockey was a big sport for Paul as well, he especially enjoyed coaching the kids. Paul enjoyed playing mixed slow pitch baseball for many years and he enjoyed umpiring games. He was an avid camper as well, spending many summers at Dog Lake and Silver Lake. Paul is predeceased by his parents Joseph and Roberta, sisters Linda and Alys, and is survived by brothers Alfred, Alec, Matt, John David and Robert. Sisters Patti and Susan, and numerous nieces and nephews. Paul will be sadly missed by all his family and friends. A Celebration of Life is to follow at a later date.

Rest in Peace Paul, as you would always say, "Over and Out".

My deepest condolences. Botchy is one of my staple childhood memories from Dog Lake. I'll never forget Botchys corn roasts! I wonder if my mom still has an old shirt kicking around. I hope he's with auntie Alys and my dad having a good laugh. Thinking of you all at this difficult time.

I am sooo sorry to all of the Lambert family plus anyone who had the opportunity to be one of Paul´s people! Paulie was the funniest and most interesting characters I I have ever met. His sense of haha could never be matched! He was gentle and fiercely loyal as a friend. I consider myself very lucky to have maintained a friendship with him for 50 years! I always looked forward to his happy phone calls to find out the "Thunder Bay gossip". I could go on and on with stories about the crazy adventures and antics but there are just too many.. anyone who knew Paul will understand that! Paulie-bumba will be greatly missed and was loved by many.. I love you botch

Bumba was a close friend from days gone by, but always stayed in touch. I especially will miss the birthday calls and hearing all the hometown news. Here's to you Pauly and may your memories last with us forever.Cheers

What a great fun guy. Plus a heart of gold. You became family when you spent that summer with us. You and Jasper George. And you treated me so well on my visit to Edmonton for my sons lacrosse. The air horn was a nice touch at the games. And the day you stood in for the missing umpire at my other sons little league baseball. It may as well have been a world series game the way you performed. So many stories. I wish there were more to come. Farewell my friend.

Pauly was such a great guy, and so nice to all of my family. We all thought of him as a part of our family. He will surely be missed, but I am sure Jasper George and him are together

I was a playground supervisor at Carrick Park many years ago and remember Paul well, an eager and fun participant in all our activities at the park. Lamberts were an awesome family.
Let memories of Paul warm your hearts and sustain you through your loss. P. Mandigo

Sending our condolences to all the family. What can we say about Paul. He was our best man at our wedding, Godfather to our son Robert and one of the best friends you could ever ask for. He invited us to go camping with him and we ended up spending many years together at Dog Lake. We have so many wonderful memories and tears from laughter over the years. Botchy was the highlight of all the parties. He will be deeply missed by our family and so many others. We love you our friend, now Rest easy until we meet again.
