Mrs. Paula Humar (Skrt) age 86 years, passed away peacefully in Bethammi Nursing Home on Tuesday, September 11, 2012. Paula was born on June 28, 1926 in Levpa, Slovenia to Stefan and Lucija Skrt. She came to Canada in 1959 and was married to Alojs Humar on April 11. She was an avid gardener and attended St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church. Paula was especially proud of becoming a Canadian citizen, which she did on January 25, 1967. Paula is survived by her son, Dan and sisters Kristina, Milka and Angelca and brothers Ciril and Emil all in Slovenia. Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. She was predeceased by her husband, Alojs in 2003; son Stanley in 1983; her parents; sister Marija and brothers Stefan and Lojz. Funeral Services for the late Mrs. Paula Humar will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 1:00PM in the EVEREST FUNERAL CHAPEL, 299 Waverley Street at Algoma officiated by Father Luigi Filippini. Interment will take place in St. Andrew's Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be held on Friday evening from 6:00PM until 8:00PM in the Everest Chapel.
