It is with heavy hearts that the family of Pauline Elizabeth Cernigoj announce her passing on December 27, 2021. She passed away at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre with her loved ones by her side. Pauline had many hobbies and interests over the years. At a younger age, she was involved in track and field, hockey and skiing. In later years enjoyed spending time at camp with her family and friends fishing, having saunas and playing cards. She spent her quiet times reading, listening to CBC and completing crossword and Sudoku puzzles. Pauline was a longtime volunteer to many causes close to her heart. Pauline is predeceased by her father Ed Doiron. She is lovingly remembered by her husband Andy, son Michael, daughter-in-law Laurisa and soon to be grandson, mother Barbara Doiron, brothers Terry (Amy) and Ron (Silvana) as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. The family would like to thank all of the health care professionals who put in the extra effort throughout the years, so Pauline could be with us as long as she was. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Our Lady of Loretto R.C. Church with Rev. Marco Ladao officiating. As per the Ontario Covid-19 regulations, those attending the mass must provide proof of double vaccination and proper identification. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to register on Pauline's page at www.sargentandson.com or call the funeral home 345-5351. Those who are not able to attend may watch the service virtually on the Sargent and Son Facebook page. Should friends so desire, in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.

We are so sorry for your loss. She was such a sweet lady. I remember when Michael came to daycare...so many years ago. Claire let us know about what was happening. We hope it helps that she is a rest now.

Pauline was an exceptionally kind caring person. I was honoured to be her friend. We became involved in the arthritis pain management programme and travelled together for this. She will be missed
