Ms. Penny Petersen, age 54 years, resident of Pearson, passed away at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre on Christmas morning with loved ones by her side after a short battle with cancer. Penny spent the past few years of her life living by Oliver Lake, enjoying gardening, wood work and spending time with her children and her many friends. Wonderful mother Penny was survived by the deep love of her five children: Cole, Keri, Amber, Jacklyn, and Bailey; Her soul's companion Paul; Her sisters Bobbi and Karen and her brothers Stephen, Verner and Darcy, and her dear mother Leona Dumais; Penny was predeceased by her Father Roger Petersen and sister Nancy. For Paul, the true love of Penny's life: The love you have for each other is inspiring, and you will always be a part of her family. The family would like to thank close friend Audrey for organizing the celebration of life in Penny's honor, and to all of the friends and family who have shown support and sympathy to our family in this time of grief, your kindness has moved us.
