Peter Shewchuk Obituary

Mr. Peter Alex Shewchuk, age 83 years passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 in the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre with his loving family by his side. Peter was born in Port Arthur on December 13, 1932 to parents William and Mary Shewchuk. He was a proud employee of Air Canada for 37 years. He enjoyed watercolour painting, golfing, gardening, but most of all he loved spending time with his family. Peter will be lovingly remembered by his wife JoAnne of 61 years, by his daughters Leslie Ann Bailey-Kirkham (Karl Kirkham) and Maureen Louise Shewchuk (Val Gow), by his grandsons Keegan Aaron Bailey and Quinn Austin Bailey; brother Steve Shewchuk (Grace) Victoria, BC. Peter was predeceased by his mother Mary Shewchuk-Welyshn and his father William Shewchuk. Sincere thanks to Dr. G Small, Cardiologist, Dr. Kevin Bezanson and Amy Purton, Palliative Care; to nurses Crystal and Avery and Student Nurse Mackenzie for your care and compassion. A private graveside service was held on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at St. Andrew's Cemetery with Rev. Jerin Louis officiating. Donations to the Cardiac Care Unit or to a Charity of your Choice would be greatly appreciated.
