Oct 30, 1952 - Nov 24, 2004Withheartfelt sadness, the family of Ray regrets to announce his sudden passing.Loving father of Yuri, Matthew, and Emily.Survived by his wife Debbie, father George Meronyk, brothers Allan (Christine) and Vernon (Judy), sisters Sylvia (Graham) and Julie (John).Son-in-law to Patrick and Sandy Baldwin.Loved uncle of many nieces and nephews.Predeceased by his mother Winnnie Meronyk.Ray was the Director of Finance for the Cameron Bay Children's Center for 18 years.He was active in hockey, especially watching his three children participate in the game.Anyone who knows Ray, knows of his love for the lake, the wilderness, and the pines.Ray's passion for hiking took him to the Appalachian Trail and throughout the Superior area, often with his young family and even his dog Hansel.Ray would love to be remembered sitting on his deck at Bush Dog Camp.Special thanks to everyone who supported both families at this sad time.Funeral Mass was held on Monday, November 29th, 2004 at the Notre Dame du Portage Roman Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. with Father Alan Campeau officiating.Prayers were held Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Kenora Community Funeral Home, Keewatin.At the family's request, please make your memorial donation to the Lake of the Woods District Hospital Foundation, 21 Sylvan St. W.
