Raymond Reedhead Obituary

REEDHEADRaymond Elliot Reedhead, a resident of Pioneer Ridge, formerly of Waverley Park Towers, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2000, following a lengthy illness. Born in Fort William, he was a lifetime resident of the city. Ray served in Africa and England with the R.C.A.F. during World War Two. Ray was formally educated at Queen's University and had a long and respected career as a Chartered Accountant. After retiring, Ray enjoyed watching Baseball, Curling and the beautiful view of Thunder Bay Harbour. Ray was a member and past president of the Rotary Club of Fort William and an active member of Wesley United Church. He wiil be lovingly remembered by: his wife Elaine, brother Wallace (Marion)-Abbotsford B.C. , daughter Merle Reedhead - Oakville, Ontario, Stepdaughter Shelley Servais (Joe)-Victoria B.C. ,brother-in-law Ray Sjostrom, grandchildren, Kate and Doug Langeryt, as well as numerous nieces and nephews, loyal inlaws Evelyn and Bill Moroz and close friends Ian and Charlie LeCocq and Daisy Barr. He was predeceased by wives Lillian and Margaret, stepson Douglas Reedhead and an infant sister. Private Funeral Services will be held on Monday, January 22, 2001 in the Sargent & Son Funeral Chapel, 21 N. Court Street, conducted by Rev. Dave Eskdale, of St. Paul's United Church, with Interment to follow in Mountainview Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Should friends desire, Memorials to the Ladies Auxillary to Pioneer Ridge Home for the Aged would be greatly appreciated."
