Reginald Angove Obituary

Mr. Reginald Thomas William Angove, age 76 years, a resident of 601- 540 Oliver Road, passed away in Grandview Lodge on Monday, September 19, 2005. Redge worked for Ontario Hydro in Thunder Bay, Manitou Falls, Port Elgin, Sarnia, North Bay and completed his career back in Thunder Bay. He was a long time member of the Lions Club having been honoured with a lifetime membership last December. He also served as District Governor. He was the charter president of the Port Elgin Kinsmen Club and a member of the Thunder Bay Kinsmen 40. He was a supporter of the CNIB. He was a member of the Connaught Lodge No. 511 of Thunder Bay. He had a half century of membership in the Masonic Lodge. He was an enthusiastic supporter of the Conservative party for many, many years and a member of the Cornerstone Club. Redge was a strong believer in volunteering and helping others. Redge is lovingly remembered by his daughters Carol Weber (Ross ), of Waterloo, Dawn Grein, (Bob) and Patti Cameron (Kent) of Kitchener, his grandchildren, Jamie (Michelle) Cameron, Jen (Tim) Walter, Erin Cameron, Brad, Nic and Ben Weber, Laurie (Jon) Simpson, and Tim (Aura) Simpson. Also remembered by 6 great-grandchildren. Cherished companion of Georgina Delgaty for 23 years and her sons Kei (Lynn) Delgaty of Ottawa, Dennis (Eileen) Delgaty of Vancouver and Tom (Brenda) Delgaty of Thunder Bay. and their families. Papa will be missed by Will and Alayna Delgaty of Thunder Bay. He is also affectionately remembered by his brother Tom Laidler of B.C. Predeceased by his beloved parents Maude and Bill Angove and his biological parents Thomas and Caroline (Kitchen) Laidler, his brothers, Joe, George and Vernon Laidler and his sisters Mary Bjorklund and Dorothy Gregnal. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 23, 2005 at 11:00 AM in the Sargent & Son Funeral Chapel, 21 North Court Street, with Archdeacon Mark Conliffe presiding. The interment will take place in Sunset Memorial Gardens and a reception will be held in the Sargent Family Reception Centre. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 7:00 until 9:00 PM in the Sargent Chapel.
