It is with deep sorrow and sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Rejean (Reg) Joseph Lemay on May 7, 2019 with his daughter Michelle by his side. Born in Saint-Roch-de-Mekinac on March 26, 1934 to Yvette Blais and Jean-Baptiste Lemay, he was third of fifteen children. At 14 years old he moved to the city of Montreal and worked for the city Hydro. Reg later moved various places in Canada including Terrace Bay and BC before finally settling in Thunder Bay. Reg drove trucks most of his life and continued to do so in Thunder Bay. Reg worked for Great Lakes Paper and Abitibi Paper before becoming an owner/operator with his own company. Then he worked lots on the pipeline, in different mines and tons of contract work. Reg was also a mechanic and loved to work on trucks, especially his own. He really enjoyed spending time in Connell's yard fixing whatever it was needing to be fixed. He retired when he was 70 years old. Reg met his soulmate Pat and married her in 1978. Reg and Pat loved a good party and travelling together, all while raising a blended family. Years later they learned they were expecting a baby together. Everyone who knew Reg knew Michelle was daddy's little girl and she was never far behind him. From greasing trucks, hauling loads in the truck, feeding the birds at the lake or just having fun, he was his happiest when spending time with her. He was an amazing husband, father and grandfather. Reg's greatest joy came from being with his grandkids. Watching them play, grow and learn made him smile. Spending time outside while they wrestle in the trampoline always made him laugh, to doing crafts with Lylia and later teaching her how to drive. Papa's love was pure and unconditional and he made that clear everyday. He was very much loved. When at home Reg enjoyed going for his morning coffee at Robin's with the French crew. This was his daily social. Reg loved spending countless hours with his dog Bijoux, watching NASCAR, hockey and feeding or chasing the squirrels. Reg's retreat was going to Savant Lake with Gord and Donny and being on the lake fishing. Then going back to Trudy's to play cards with the gang. To him it was like a second family. Reg will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Michelle (Shane) Menard, Eva (Gord) Enders, Lucille Bougie and son Dennis Lemay; grandchildren Lylia, Austin, Tyson, Brody, Jaimie, Misty, Rick and Grace; also numerous great grandchildren. Siblings Clémence, Paulo, Claudette, Francois, Maurice, Madeleine, Micheline and Michel. Reg was predeceased by his loving wife of 40 years, Pat Lemay, parents Yvette and Jean-Baptiste Lemay, daughter Marie Mullin-Cote, grandson Jim Nordstrom and siblings Jacques, Larry, Gilbert, Denis, Marie-Paule and Noëlla. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 5 on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 from 12pm-2:30pm.

Our deepest condolences to Reg's Family. We moved away from Thunder Bay 4 years ago. Pierre was one of the coffee crew at Robins Cumberland where the French gang would gather. We hope that the special memories you have of him help get you through this difficult time. The Senators have just lost a most devoted fan. Rest in peace Reg, Sandra and Pierre
