Very sorry and saddened to hear of Richard´s passing. I knew him through his cousin´s Pepe ( Joe) and Marcel they were friends of my brother. I´ve known the family since I was about 10 we ended up going to high school together and I´d often see him and Jim. He was a very kind and funny guy and was always there to help anyone that needed it. Though we lost touch over the years every time l pass the store on Algoma I often wondered how they were and what they were up too. We have many people drop in and out of our lives you lose touch over the years. Richard was a very sincere guy and I know he´s going to be missed by so many people. Sending heartfelt condolences and prayers to the DeVuono family. Heaven has truly gained a gem of a human.

I am so sorry to hear of Richard´s passing. I remember him very well as a little boy coming to Laskins where I worked with his dad Gino. He and his brother would always come to the desk where I worked to say hi to me every single time. His smile was amazing. So sorry Gino and Shirley. Mary Ann

Richard and i believed in the concept of chosen family ,his holiday gatherings included gays and lesbians from out of town . I learned how to cook his grandmothers lasagne and turkey. Being there for him the last few years was difficult but he was my oldest friend and the closest thing I will have to a brother. My heart goes out to Wei and his parents Gino and Shirley.

I was truly shocked when I heard the news of ricks passing. We drifted apart in our adult lives but still considered him a good friend. We grew up together and I know he will be sadly missed. My heart and prayers go out to the whole family.
Rest in peace my dear old friend.

I was lucky to have Rick as my neighbor and every Christmas he would bring over some baking or homemade candy. He knew what it was to be truly neighborly and I will never forget him. It was a sad day when he moved away and he was certainly missed by us. He was a dear ,funny ,sweet and kind man who made a positive difference in this world .
