Mr. Robert Arthur Clavet (Bob), age 83 years, passed away unexpectedly at TBRHSC on March 21st, 2018. Born on February 1st, 1935 in Port Arthur; Bob was raised and educated in Port Arthur. He was employed as an Ironworker with the International Union of Operating Engineers; also spent some years as an equipment operator, as well as drove transport for Manitoulin. Bob served with the Canadian Forces in Korea and remained a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 5. Bob is survived by daughter Michelle (Russ) Gordon (nee Clavet), grandchildren Reneé, Desireé and Austin Gordon; step-daughter Susan Morgan, grandchildren Nicole and Ryan Morgan; brother Bud (Ruth) Clavet and family: Keenan, Ann Louise, Anthony and Mike. Predeceased by parents Edward and Esther Clavet (nee Madigan); step-mother Connie Clavet; brother Alfred Clavet; ex-wife Maxeen Rimer (nee Meservier); life partner Jewel Stokolosa. Bob will be missed for his sense of humour and very generous nature. Always loving to bring persians or perogies, or other wonderful foods prepared by his good friend Norm's wife, Donna. He loved visiting and having coffee with them and Gary. Too bad he can't bring his tractor! He'll miss grooming his property and tinkering with it. A small service will be held at the ranch in early summer, to be announced.
