Robert Gibson Obituary

It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Robert “Bob”John Gibson, age 48 years, on Sunday, January, 29, 2017 with his wife by his side at St. Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Bob loved life, especially enjoying the outdoors with the people he loved. Whether it was grilling on the BBQ or enjoying the fire pit. Bob never let an opportunity pass to feast with family, friends, and neighbours. If he wasn't grilling, he was in the garage tinkering with the kids or showing them what not to “do” on their bikes and skateboards. Bob was never afraid of work and was always eager to lend advice or a helping hand.

Bob is survived by his wife Christine Chilson; daughters Ashlyn, Destiny, Shayna and son Devin.

He is also survived by his sisters Tina, Margo and Shannon and parents Jim Gibson and Cheryl Carson. Nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.

The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at TBRHSC and the wonderful committed team at St.. Boniface ICCS unit in Winnipeg. A very special thank you to Aunties Sherri, Karen, Marlene and Martine and Canadian Tire Store #34 for your generosity and support during this difficult time.

A celebration of Robert's life will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at 1:30 PM in the WESTFORT CHAPEL, 420 West Gore St at James with Rev. Randy Boyd officiating.

If friends so desire, a trust fund has been set up for Bob's children at the Royal Bank, 2600 East Arthur Street. Cheques may be made payable to Christine Chilson.

It broke our hearts to lose you,
but you didn't go alone,
For part of us went with you,
the day God took you home.
