ROBERT GUNN
Mr. Robert Charles Gunn passed away Sunday, February 15, 2026 after some lengthy health issues just 9 days before his 71st birthday. Rob was born in 1955 to a musical family. His mother, Mildred, was a well known local piano teacher and organist at Wesley United Church, while his father Edison was a school music teacher, choir director at Wesley, and a member of the Symphony Orchestra.

Rob was an avid musician, playing guitar, drums, recorder and percussion. He played in numerous bands including Counterpoint, Randy Lyght's band, and later, with Tommy Horricks for the talent shows at the Westfort. He was also a lifelong lover of animals, big and small.

He is survived by sister-in-law Pat, nephews Richard and Mark, niece Tricia and lifelong friend David Strom.

Predeceased by his parents, and brother Wayne. Cremation has taken place and as per Rob's wishes there will be no service.

You can remember Rob by making a donation, big or small to the Ontario Humane Society.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Simpler Times Cremation Centre, 575 Central Avenue, Thunder Bay.
