ROBERT WARREN KERR October 9, 1943 - October 19, 2025
Son of Charles Alexander Kerr and Norma MacDonald, brother to Monty Kerr; Warren was raised on MacLeod Townsite in Geraldton. As a young man he travelled and worked in mining and exploration in Thompson, Manitoba, areas of British Columbia and California.
He married Jackie Kerr (Christensen) in 1967 and after raising two daughters, Shanon (Mike O'Connell) and Rhonda in Manitouwadge, Warren retired from mining and moved to the home he built at Camp 25.
Later in life he worked at the mill in Longlac and as a guard for the OPP in Greenstone. Warren often enjoyed visiting Recon Air in Geraldton and even became a documentarian of the history of Otters they had rebuilt. This passion resulted in a recently published book. He greatly enjoyed the work of researching, writing and photographing the planes and developed a treasured friendship with Recons owner Roy Leuenberger.
Over the years, Warren served his community in many roles including Volunteer Firefighter in Manitouwadge, Member of Crimestoppers, EMT, Mine Rescue, elder in St. Andrew's Church in Geraldton and he was always happy to lend a hand to friends and neighbours no matter the endeavor.
Warren was a loving husband, proud father and doting Papa to his granddaughter, Grace O'Regan.
He will be missed by his many friends throughout Northern Ontario and beyond.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life when Papa's ducks return. Details will be announced on Warren's Facebook page.
