ROBERT SCOTT Obituary

ROBERT SCOTT December 6, 1947 to December 2, 2023 In loving memory of Robert (Bob) Scott, a charismatic and humble soul who graced our lives for 75 years. Bob was born in Olds, Alberta and grew up in Medicine Hat, with his siblings Patricia (Zane) and Sandy (Barry). After high school he moved to Thunder Bay, where he met his soulmate and embarked on a journey of building a family filled with love, laughter, and shared dreams. A devoted husband to Erika Scott who he loved and supported throughout their 47 years of marriage. Their bond was a testament of enduring love. Bob was a loving father to Karen Scott, Bob Scott, Jonathon Scott (Jolie) and Jennifer Scott (Chelsey).

Bob was known for his humour and carefree spirit. An easy going individual, who navigated life with lightheartedness that brought joy to those around him. Whether tinkering with tools or sharing laughter with friends and family, his garage was an oasis of shared moments and cherished memories.

Bob was an avid hunter whose passion for the great outdoors defined his adventurous spirit. Bob found great pleasure being outside in nature and sharing his love for hunting with friends and family. Bob's love extended far beyond the woods, as his greatest joy was found in the laughter and smiles of his grandchildren. Bob was his grandchildren's biggest supporter, he never missed sporting events, musical theatre productions or the opportunity to star in one of their homemade videos.

May the memory of his joyous personality be a source of comfort and may we all strive to carry a bit of his easygoing nature with us in our own journeys.

Bob was known to be an impressive father and grandfather but he was famous as the only husband to ever join the 3 South evening staff for coffee at McKellar - and he was there almost every shift that Erica worked. Neither liked too much time apart. Thank you Erica for sharing your doting, handsome, funny, sweet Bob through all those needed coffee breaks and through all those decades of hunting with my boys. Bob left Terry, Andrew and I with more great memories than most ... and he left a great hole that will never completely fill. Your hole is so much deeper than ours. Our sincerest sympathy to you and yours.

I have had the honour and pleasure of knowing Bob for the past 40 plus years as a hunting partner and friend and recently we worked together for the last year or so. He always had a funny thing to say and had a smile on his face joking with everyone he came to know. He was an avid outdoorsman and a relentless hunter that showed in his success. He was a hard worker that always wanted to get the job done and was fun to work with. I am going to miss you terribly buddy. Rest in peace!

I had the honour and pleasure of knowing Bob the last 40 plus years as a hunting partner and recently we worked together for the last year or so. He was an avid hunter and was relentless tracking down moose and it showed in his success. He was a hard worker and got the job done regularly. He always had a smile on his face and joked and kidded everyone he got to know. He was a great friend and I will miss him terribly! Rest in peace buddy.

I just want to take a moment to say that Bob,my Dad was always a great husband, father and provider. Growing up with him as my Dad gave me many memories from going to Chippewa for a Sunday barbecue to traveling to Duluth for a weekend ,and out to Medicine Hat to visit family..I remember driving around in his green skylark with him listening to Elvis on the 8 track..he always did his best to be there for his family even if just to listen,he always had good advice..although I am not there I feel everyone´s pain at the loss of this wonderful man..Thank you Dad for being the man you were, you will be greatly missed, fondly remembered and Loved forever
