ROBERT WALTERS March 29, 1951 - March 23, 2026
It is with deep sadness that we share that Robert "Bob" Walters, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2026.

Born in Pembroke, Ontario, to Wilbert and Margaret Walters, Bob is lovingly remembered by his wife, Connie; children Kristi, Dawn (Jeff), and Robbie; and grandchildren Luke, Noah, and Nate.

Raised in a military family, he spent part of his childhood in Germany before returning to Southern Ontario and later settling in Thunder Bay, where he graduated from Selkirk High School. He went on to attend college in Sault Ste. Marie.

Bob worked briefly with the Ministry of Natural Resources before beginning a 30+ year career with the Thunder Bay Fire Department.

He and Connie married in 1975 and celebrated 50 years together this past July, building a life grounded in family and community.

In retirement, Bob spent much of his time golfing, sharing his love of the game with Connie and his grandchildren. In recent years, they enjoyed their retirement home in a golf community in Arizona.

Known for his humour and love of teasing, Bob brought laughter to those around him and will be deeply missed.

Cremation has taken place. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no funeral service. A private burial will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a Charity of Your Choice.
