Ronald Wilen Obituary

Beloved father, grandfather and great grandfather, Ronald Gunnard (Rinty) Wilen, passed away peacefully with family by his side Sunday, June 4, 2006. Born December 16,1930 in Fort William, Ontario and predeceased by his parents Fanny and Gunnard Wilen. Ron will be sadly missed by his wife of 57 years, Dorothy and his children Linda Wilen (Arnold Blanchard), Ryan Wilen (Gail), Janet Johnston (Bill), Barry Wilen (Marion), Wendy Northway (Terry), Terry Wilen (Monica), and Karl Wilen (Linda). Grampa will also be missed by grandchildren Krista Morriseau (Sean), Tanya Ditchfield, Sarah Ditchfield (Mark Monaghan), Mandy and Cory Wilen, Bryan, Stephen, and Craig Johnston, Harmony, Natalie and Laura Northway, Tyler and Victoria Wilen, and Chantell Wilen; great grandchildren Taylor and Liam Morriseau, Ciaran Marshall, Matthew Monaghan, Cerena Arogie-Wilen and Kaleb Stimson. Ron was an electrician beginning his career with Local 339 IBEW in 1947 and retiring from Local 402 in 1996. Much time was spent in Kam Valley at the summer home on the Dog River where children, grandchildren and great grandchildren enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and many steam baths and swims. Evenings were his favourite times where he enjoyed bonfires and good company. A Memorial will be held Thursday, June 8, 2006 at 1:00 pm at the Oliver Road Recreation Centre."
